Our connection to the nature that surrounds us inspired the creation of Cnamh Sí. Respect for the materials that nature offers is a fundamental element of our ethos.
The Wood
The wood that is used to produce the Cnamh Sí pieces is typically found near the mountains, rivers, lakes and beaches of Ireland. The wood is from fallen trees or branches, separated from the tree by the natural wind and rain that gently envelops the county of Wicklow.
The use of wood found in this way ensured that we never need to fell a tree to produce the Cnamh Sí pieces.
The Lights
Where a Cnamh Sí piece is transformed into a light, we look to balance environmental and sustainability concerns with the necessary health and safety regulations. We only use environmentally friendly materials that are locally sourced where possible.
Bespoke Pieces
Occasionally clients may provide their own wood to which they have a close connection.
Whether it is from a tree with which they have a close connection, or reclaimed wood from a family property or other salvaged material, we are always happy to accommodate these requests where it it possible.
